Donnington Doorstep AGM

Monday 20 February 2012
6.30pm - 8pm in Doorstep

All welcome.

We will be discussing and taking decisions on incorporation.

Incorporation will mean that the existing Doorstep Charity will transfer all property and assets to a new Doorstep Charitable Company which has similar objects to the old charity, and then the old Charity will be wound up. Please come along to find out more.

Please let Sarah Pomroy know if you would like to attend.

East Oxford carnival

Doorstep has always celebrated festivals of many faiths and cultures.

The service we provide reflects the diverse community of which we are a part. We celebrate many festival days such as Eid, May Day, Easter, Wesak, Hannukah and Divali, We also run themed events based around specific topics such as Insect Day, Ocean Day, World Food Day and many more. The events are fun-filled with activities that both adults and children can get involved in. Our lunchtime meal reflects the event and this gives many people the opportunity to try food from other cultures for the first time.

In June 2003, East Oxford Action funded a project for our parents and children to take part in the Cowley Road Carnival. This was a great success, and we were able to fund our own projects for the carnival in subsequent years.
